I'm kicking off Season 2 by talking about why I had to take a year away - not just from the podcast, but from my business generally.
It's a bit of a vulnerable share, and - spoiler alert/content warning - I'll be talking about my cancer diagnosis.
It's still full of laughs and bad language - you know me - but it's nevertheless a sensitive topic. If you want to give it a swerve, that's absolutely fine.
Why did I choose to talk about this, rather than keep it all private? Honestly, it was a bit of a toss-up, but in the end, I thought it would do more good to talk about it, than to keep schtum.
Cancer is a bit of a taboo topic, and people have trouble even saying the word. I wanted to pop that bubble and remove the stigma.
The only point of talking about anything, really, is if you think it might do some good. That's my hope with this episode.
