THE BIGGEST REASON WHY IT'S SO IMPORTANT TO FEEL YOUR FEELINGS

Updated: Jul 12

Woman with eyes closed and hands on heart, set against green trees. Text reads, "WHY IT'S SO IMPORTANT TO feel your feelings." Calm mood.

Announcement: I'll be taking on weekly clients again from September onwards. If you're ready to get to work, I have a limited waiting list, and I invite you to join.

There's no commitment at this stage - let's have a free chat now to see if it's a good fit, and then I'll reach out to you in August to see if you're ready to book.

I'll talk you through the options, and we'll see which one feels right to you, whether that's the 3-Week Intro, or the 6-Week Breakthrough.

What's the point of joining the list?

Because September is a great 'Begin-Again' season. People tend to feel ready to roll up their sleeves, 'go back to school', and make some changes in their lives.

That means it gets busy - and spaces are limited. If you're on the waiting list, you'll get priority.

If you'd like to join, get in touch and let me know, or book your free chat asap.

But the REAL why?

You've heard me bang on about working with your emotions - let me explain the biggest reason why it's so important to feel your feelings.

You don't need to go around feeling your feelings all the time, falling apart at the supermarket or raging out at the cinema - that's not healthy - and it's not convenient!

But if you're trying to get through by taking a deep breath and counting to 3, that's not going to work either.

It's not a bad short-term strategy, but ONLY if you're working with your feelings as well. Otherwise, it's just suppression.

In fact, it's a kind of self-rejection. It's like you're only 'allowed' to feel certain feelings - the socially acceptable ones. The others get squashed and hidden.

Most of us are allergic to our feelings, and in a rush to feel good straight away, before acknowledging them properly.

If you're in the habit of being afraid of emotions, they grow worse because you deny them. Like water building up pressure behind a dam - at some point, it's gonna blow!

The irony is that you're avoiding feelings, because you want to avoid suffering - but suffering is always worse when you avoid your feelings.

However, once you get good at self-acceptance (because that's what it comes down to), you can do this more quickly, and even breeze past feelings that used to disable you.

And it feels so freeing!!

It's time, and you're ready. You've been fighting your feelings for a long time, and you're ready to start working with them, instead.

And you're ready to get support to do just that. I'll help you through the process, because it can be tricky, so book your free chat, and let's get the ball rolling.

You can do it.

Big love,

Sophie x
